Description:

We are currently searching for a Water Resources Manager in our Calgary office. 

The successful candidate will lead the Water Resources Group in the Calgary Infrastructure Division. The Water Resources Group provides planning, design, and management services for water resources projects throughout Southern Alberta and supports projects in other areas of Canada. These projects include urban and rural stormwater management assignments, wastewater collection studies, river engineering analyses, hydraulic structure design as well as flood control and irrigation work.

Your responsibilities will include:
•    Managing a group of engineers, technologists and support staff.
•    Promoting staff development and growth through coaching and mentoring of team members. 
•    Coordinating technical staff and assigning resources to projects.
•    Leading recruitment, career planning and salary review tasks.
•    Business development and marketing. 
•    Managing client relationships. 
•    Managing projects and coaching project managers and the project team. 
•    Preparing technical reports, proposals, design briefs, design drawings and specifications.
•    Ensuring quality and accuracy of designs, reports, and studies.
•    Ensuring project needs are met in an effective and timely matter.
•    Ensuring financial success of the company.

Qualifications:

What you will bring:
•    Engineering Degree or an Engineering Technology Diploma. 
•    Eligible for registration with APEGA or ASET.
•    Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and management of water resources projects.
•    Minimum of 5 years working in a consulting environment.
•    Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. 
•    Experience in:
     o    Business Development in both private and public sectors.
     o    Project management and controls with a proven track record of client delivery and satisfaction, and financial success.
     o    Leading, coaching and mentoring staff.
     o    Liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants
•    Exposure to modeling software such as PC SWMM, Mike Urban, and HEC-RAS.
•    Valid driver’s license.
