CEA Board of Directors have made the difficult decision to pause publishing the Salary Recommendations and Rate Guideline documents.

The decision was made in response to the introduction of subsection 45 (1.1) of the Competition Act. One of the amendments criminalizes agreements between unaffiliated employers to fix, maintain, decrease, or control wages or other terms of employment. As “employer” is not defined in the act. 

CEA has chosen to ensure compliance by removing copies of previous Surveys and by no longer publishing future reports.  

We understand this decision is disappointing to both members and clients.
