CEA YP group will be hosting a tour of the Central Library, accompanied by Central Library Tour Group, DIALOG, and Entuitive Representatives. Central Library Tour Group will speak to the backstory of the structure and the architecture firm, Snøhetta who designed the building. DIALOG will speak to the overall construction from start to finish. Entuitive will speak to the technical structural aspects involved in the design of this structure.

To date the complex $245-million structure is one of Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC)’s most significant project with approximately 1.7 million construction hours, and as many as 200 workers on site. The structure provides 240,000 sq.ft. of functional, flexible and beautifully designed space. The Central Library consists of 450,000 books, more than 30 free community meeting areas, performance hall, café, outdoor plazas, a children’s library, dedicated spaces for teens, recording studios, and more.
