About the Opportunity

Our growing Kamloops office is looking to add a capable and hardworking Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to our Water Resource team. Are you keen to benefit from the support of industry professionals while working on exciting and inspiring projects that make a visible difference in many communities? In addition to the learning and project experience, you can:

  • Hone your civil engineering skills, apply theory and provide workable solutions for infrastructure design and planning for municipal stormwater, river engineering, and flood protection projects, among others. As well as general civil engineering projects.
  • Establish relationships and act as the clients' representative on-site during construction to gather information, conduct inspections, and ensure that designs are built to specifications
  • Explore creative and sustainable solutions together with our clients to build vibrant communities
  • Utilize computer software to analyse and solve various problems
  • Provide accurate and timely input on technical reports, plans, studies, proposals, and presentations

Qualifications:

About You

This opportunity is well suited to new graduates from a civil or environmental engineering program, however up to 3 years of experience will also be considered beneficial. Candidates should be eligible for registration with EGBC. A degree program with a water resource or stormwater focus would be an asset. In addition, the following attributes would be considered a benefit to this role:

  • A keen interest in pursuing a career working on water resource projects in Western Canada
  • Drive to take initiative, problem solving skills, and enjoyment in working hard to deliver value
  • A keen interest to seek out opportunities to collaborate with people of varying backgrounds and perspectives
  • Attention to detail, and ability to continually deliver high quality work
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at a time and thrive in a self-directed work environment.
  • Previous experience working on water resource projects, or with related software
  • Willing and able to travel to project sites throughout Western Canada.
  • An Engineer-in-Training eligible to register with EGBC
  • A valid class 5 drivers’ license
