Terms of Reference

The CEA Transportation Committee comprises member firms who have an active involvement/interest in issues related to Transportation in Alberta. Although our efforts are focused mainly on strengthening our relationship with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors, we also get involved in issues affecting other owners in the Transportation industry. This is a strong, active group that has established very good credibility with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors. We meet five or six times per year in Edmonton and Calgary (with a video conference link). Key industry players from Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors make presentations to the Transportation Committee at some of our meetings.

Committee members who are interested in leadership of our Committee are asked to make a six year commitment (3 years as Vice-Chair, 3 years as Chair and 3 years as Past-Chair) to the Committee. These same individuals participate in key AT/ARHCA standing groups (Operations Committee and Strategic Priorities Group) where high level decisions are made that affect how engineering and construction work is delivered in Alberta.
